Fees & Funding
Tuition Fees
Total tuition and fees are approximately $7,300 CDN per year for domestic students and $15,200 CDN per year for international students.
Financial Support
Funding is an important consideration for graduate students. MSc students receive a base funding package of $22,600. Additional financial support is available through opportunities to work as teaching or research assistants during the academic year. The program also offers funding to support student research activities and conference participation.
If you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident you may qualify for federal and/or provincial government student financial aid. U.S. students may be eligible to apply for U.S. Student Loans.
External Awards and Fellowships
MSc students are eligible for additional financial support through provincial and national fellowships, awards, and bursaries. Unlike at some institutions, receiving a major external scholarship, bursary, or internal award does not reduce the student’s base funding package for that academic year. Students intending to apply to the PhD program are strongly encouraged to pursue external fellowships early in the first term of their MSc studies.
