Call for Project Partners

The Go-To-Market team project is an opportunity for an organization to receive support crafting a go-to-market strategy for a tech or digital product. Students will work in teams to provide the partner organization with current market research, completed analyses, and recommendations on each component of a go-to-market plan to reach target customers and achieve competitive advantage.

Process & Timeline

December

Submit a project proposal

  • Interested organizations are asked to submit an online project proposal before January 1st.
  • The faculty instructor will select a partner organization in early February.
February

Prepare & present project brief

  • The partner organization will prepare and deliver a project brief to students and be available to answer student questions during a 1hr initial project launch meeting.
  • A project brief will be provided to students, including available materials on the product – and/or access to the product itself.
Feb - Mar

Project execution

  • Students will work in teams to prepare their go-to-market plans and recommendations.
  • A representative from the partner organization must be available to answer any student questions though an online discussion board (~once per week).
Late March

Final report & presentation

  • A short-list of final go-to-market plans will be presented to the partner organization. In a live presentation format student teams will deliver go-to-market plans outlining their research insights and recommendations to the partner organization.

Partner Requirements

  • The partner organization must require support crafting a marketing and launch strategy for an existing tech/digital product (software or device) that is in the early stages of being brought to market.
  • The project deliverables must be achievable within a 4-5 week timeframe.
  • The partner organization must be prepared to present the project brief (virtually), assign a dedicated person to liaise with student teams, and be available to hear final presentations and offer feedback.
