Kingston, Ont. – The Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business received several top rankings in the most recent Financial Times Global MBA Ranking, including No. 1 in Canada for career services. This is the fifth year in a row that career services at Smith has received this ranking.
The Full-time MBA program was also ranked No. 1 in Canada in three other key categories: the percentage salary increase of graduates, return on investment and alumni network strength.
“We are very proud of the power of the Smith MBA in the global marketplace and honoured that we continue to be recognized by the Financial Times,” said Kerri Regan, Director, Full-time MBA & Master of International Business, Smith School of Business.
In addition to ranking first in the country and 26th in the world for career services, Smith MBA graduates saw a 118 per cent increase in salary (calculated based on the difference in their pre- and post-MBA salaries).
“Our commitment to delivering outstanding support to our students and employer partners is reflected in this exceptional ranking,” said Karen Jackson-Cox, Executive Director of Smith’s Career Advancement Centre. “I am incredibly proud of our team’s unwavering dedication, which drives us to empower and support our students to achieve their career ambitions and to be a top source of business talent for industry.”
Smith’s No. 1 in Canada ranking for its alumni network reflects how well graduates support one another with career opportunities, building companies and fostering new ideas. Smith’s top rank in Canada and 28th in the world for value for money, further reinforces the return on investment for graduates of the Full-time MBA.
The Financial Times Global MBA ranking is based on three categories of criteria: career progress; diversity; research; and environmental, social and governance (ESG). Data is collected from schools and a survey of alumni three years after they graduate.
Smith ranked 79th in the table of the world’s 100 top-ranked MBA programs. Only five Canadian programs made the 2025 list.
