As Director of Finance and Operations, I am entrusted with managing the finances and ensuring that the Student Executive Council (SEC) runs smoothly. I collaborate with my fellow SEC members to prepare the overall budget and budgets for individual events and initiatives. I work closely with each member of the SEC to ensure that they can fund initiatives and events that will enhance the Smith MBA student experience. I wanted to join the SEC in the finance and operations role because of my previous experience overseeing municipal infrastructure projects. As a municipal engineer, I managed many projects that developed my abilities to see the big picture to accomplish the broader goal. My position as Director of Finance and Operations allows me to work with a diverse set of people and improve my Leadership Skills.
