I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

it offers a well-rounded program that aligns perfectly with my goals. The 12-month duration suited my timeline, allowing me to return to the workforce as quickly as possible after the program year ended. The in-person format provides valuable opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals, learn, and become part of a strong community. The program’s emphasis on team-based learning offers real-world experience of working within diverse settings. Additionally, the Career Advancement Centre will provide essential support as I transition into the workforce. With its top ranking (#1 by Financial Times) and the specialization in Management Analytics, the program was an ideal fit as I aim to pivot my career from financial administration to data and analytics.

Hard work and persistence are the keys to success. If you want to create change in your life, you must take the first step and put in the effort to make that change happen. Procrastination is your worst enemy. While the road ahead may seem long and full of challenges, tackling it one day at a time will lead to progress. As long as you remain committed to putting in the work, you will eventually reap the rewards of your efforts.

This program offers incredible opportunities and valuable networks, but your success will depend on your self-motivation and commitment. You need to be intrinsically driven and passionate about pursuing an MBA, otherwise, it becomes an expensive endeavour that isn't worth your time—and you would be taking a spot that another passionate student could fill. To succeed, you must be hungry for knowledge and connections, as you will constantly be tested and pushed beyond your comfort zone. Therefore, dedication to the program and strong self-motivation are essential.

I am pursuing an MBA to build meaningful, lasting connections within the corporate sector and engage in a learning environment alongside like-minded individuals who are dedicated to exploring and understanding the world of business. My goal is to transition from financial advisory to the tech and data analytics field, and I seek mentorship that will help guide me in making this shift successfully.
