I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...
of Smith’s reputation with career advancement and industry specialization – specifically within consulting and finance in Canada. The team-based learning approach also contributed to my decision-making as I was hoping to improve my communication and collaboration skills. I yap a lot so I realize it’s time to develop concise yapping skills.
My advice for myself one year ago would be – it’s okay not to have everything figured out. Take it one day at a time and approach things with optimism.
Pursuing the Smith MBA requires more than just your academic performance. You need to be a well-rounded individual, both inside and outside the classroom. If you don’t meet perceived minimum requirements, be creative and think of ways to make up for it.
With an MBA from Smith, I’m hoping to gain essential business acumen to make a career pivot into consulting. Fingers crossed!
