Apply to Graduate!
As your student enters their final term in the Commerce program, graduation is at the forefront of their mind. The first step towards making this thought a reality is applying to graduate. The application to graduate for Spring 2023 opened on Dec. 1, 2022 in the Student Service Centre on your student’s SOLUS.
Please encourage your student to follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Check that your Academic Requirements will be met
The Academic Advisement Report (AAR) is designed to give your student advice on what courses they will need to take to complete their degree, as well as flag any issues regarding which courses may be used towards their degree requirements. While the AAR is a useful guide, the ultimate authority on all academic requirements are in the Commerce Academic Calendar; if there is a discrepancy, the online Calendar requirements take precedence.
Step 2: Apply to graduate
Your student must formally "Apply to Graduate" through the SOLUS Student Centre. Completion of an Application to Graduate does not guarantee the awarding of their degree. All applications are subject to academic review by the Commerce Office and approval by the Senate Committee on Academic Procedures (SCAP).

Please note the application deadline to graduate for Spring 2023 closes on Thursday, April 15th.
