Career Decision Making
November 2023
Throughout the fourth year, students are encouraged to meet with a Career Coach to make a job search plan – we are here to help!
Key elements to focus on this year are updating their LinkedIn profile and practicing their interview skills with a Career Coach. In support of these activities, the Career Advancement Centre (CAC) has created 8 online Career Management Foundation modules!
These modules include videos, exercises, and resources to enable the education of industry’s best practices in career development. In the LinkedIn module, students create a profile that reflects the best of their skills, experiences, and strengths which are aligned with the role that they seek.
They also learn how to leverage LinkedIn in their job search strategy. The interviewing module teaches students how to prepare for interviews, and effectively present their attributes, skills, and experiences relevant to the role and company. They also learn how to respond to interview questions using the CAR(E) structure. Students can access these modules through their CAC Portal at any time!
Don’t hesitate to encourage your student to reach out to the CAC for support and guidance today for support and guidance today.
