Jay Wright is the former President & CEO of Arterra Wines Canada, which owns and distributes 100+ wine brands, including nine of the top 20 brands in Canada (e.g., Jackson Triggs, Inniskillin and Tom Gore), and operates eleven wineries and 1,700+ acres of premium vineyards in Canada’s wine regions. The company, which is privately held and owned by the Ontario Teacher's Pension Plan (OTPP), also owns and operates 164 Wine Rack retail wine stores in Ontario, and employs ~2,500 staff across the country. He retired in May of 2022. 

Jay led the development and growth of Canada's leading wine company since 2016, driving market share up to 20% by consistently increasing revenue for six consecutive years through effective product strategy, operational efficiency and savvy M&A. 

Prior to this, Jay was President & CEO of Constellation Brands Canada, responsible for overseeing the domestic and international sales, marketing and operations of their award-winning Canadian portfolio. Jay joined Constellation Brands in 2006 as president of Vincor International Inc., acquired that year by Constellation. Jay’s previous Constellation roles include executive vice president and president of the global Wine & Spirits business (2010-2016), where he was instrumental in leading the business on a premiumization growth strategy and the acquisitions of luxury brands Mark West (2012), Casa Noble Tequila (2014) and Meiomi (2015).

Before joining Vincor, Jay held the role of vice president and general manager at Borden Foods USA. Prior to that, he was director of innovation at Molson and spent 10 years at Nabisco building brands such as Oreo and Del Monte. Jay, a native of Montreal, began his career in marketing at Procter & Gamble in Toronto.

Jay currently sits on the Boards of the TD Toronto Jazz Festival and Upper Canada Forest Products, as well as Smith School of Business. Jay is a past Board member of Opus One and Wine Growers Canada.
